Mindful Memories and Milestones
A Mindful Approach to Empowering, Highlighting, and Capturing the Journey
As an organizer, I see it time and time again: Closets, shelves, and garages containing a hodgepodge of shoeboxes and bins full of kids’ artwork, report cards, and drawings of their pets.
As a mom who had been-there-done-that, I was guilty myself. I had two large totes, one for each son, kept in no particular order and with minimal regard in preserving the special items. I thought I was organized by just having it all in one place. But I kept too much. It was overwhelming and not enjoyable to look through or reminisce about.
When we know better, we do better, and share what we learn with others.
I created Mindful Memories and Milestones as a solution to streamline these collections from the get-go and manage them in a creative and inspirational way.
In addition to capturing the fun facts, the interview cards were mindfully designed to encourage and motivate future generations to be the helpers.
By taking 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each school year to ask your child both fun and thought-provoking questions, you’re inviting them to expand their hearts while setting an intention of who they are. You’re planting a seed that learning and serving is what community and humanity is truly about. Rather than continuing to ask our children what they want to be when they grow up to, we need to make a shift towards mindfully guiding who they want to be in our world.
