The Space Between
We’re intimidated by empty space. We tend to want to fill our shelves, our pockets, and our time. So we stuff our closets, our calendars, and our minds full of so much that we’ve become numb while we wade in the excess. We’ve convinced ourselves that somehow, surrounded by stuff, we will find what we seek.
It actually works in reverse.
Excavating Artifacts
We spend the first half of our lives accumulating things that we’ve been convinced were needed or necessary. We spend the second half trying to escape from them.
Boxes of Dreams
We think the tangible items that we’ve surrounded ourselves with are giving us direction. We think by having a visual reminder we will do what we need to do and eventually get where we think we’re supposed to be going. We’re afraid that by letting go of those discernable clues our dreams will just shrivel up and die.
Share Your Gifts
We all possess gifts that may not seem of importance to us but would add incredible value to the life of another. Giving and receiving is a universal expression and a key ingredient that helps keep us aligned and in balance. We must understand that the art of life is not about the acquisition of things. The art of life is the reciprocity between one another.
Consider this Conversation
When you talk about the messy stuff before it gets messy, you help prepare a clearer path for emotions and feelings that need to be felt during any loss or transition the space they need to do what they need to do without the confusion and worry and wonder mixed in with the logistics or details.
Soul Space
The forest has the ability to hold the stories that no longer serve us. It is a safe place for us to release them. It invites us to let them go in order to create space for new experiences and fresh opportunities.
Looking For Space
I view my purpose as helping others create the space they require to manifest their purpose. If I do my job correctly, they will then be better equipped to fulfill their life’s work with the least amount of friction as possible and then be able to do their big things.
Simplicity
Make peace with your Stuff. If you love it and use it and it makes you happy, by all means, cherish it and appreciate it. If it’s taking up space and not prompting you to dwell in the life you are meant for, then perhaps it’s time to consider why you still have it.
